Fewer reports, opened more often

Most ERP reporting problems are not a shortage of reports. They are forty reports nobody opens, because none of them answers the question anyone actually has.

  • Four views, not forty
  • Drill to the transaction

What it covers

Role-based dashboards

What a branch manager needs is not what the finance director needs.

A shared dashboard serves neither well.

Drill-down

Every figure opens to the transactions behind it.

A number you cannot open is a number that gets disputed.

Scheduled delivery

Reports arriving where people already work rather than waiting to be fetched.

Delivery beats availability, every time.

Consolidated view

Multi-branch and multi-company rolled up on one basis.

Consolidation done in a spreadsheet is where reporting errors live.

Trend over snapshot

Direction over time rather than a single month in isolation.

One month tells you very little; six tell you what is happening.

One version of the number

Definitions agreed once and applied everywhere.

Two departments with two definitions of revenue is a meeting that never ends.

In practice

Dashboards that replace the monthly spreadsheet pack

Most Qatari management teams receive a pack of spreadsheets on the fifth of the month, assembled by hand from exports, and argue about which number is right. Business intelligence done properly removes the assembly: data is pulled from the ERP, CRM, HR and bank systems on a schedule, modelled once with agreed definitions, and presented as dashboards that refresh themselves. The argument moves from which number is right to what to do about it.

We build on Zoho Analytics for companies on Zoho and for mixed estates, on Odoo's reporting and BI connectors for Odoo, on ERPNext dashboards and query reports for ERPNext, and on ManageEngine Analytics Plus for IT data. Sources are connected with native connectors where they exist and with database or API feeds where they do not. Definitions are written down: what counts as revenue, when a deal is won, how margin is calculated by branch.

The dashboards are built for audiences. The owner gets cash, sales, margin and receivables on one screen in Arabic or English; branch managers get their branch; finance gets ageing, VAT position and bank; sales gets pipeline and activity. Scheduled reports go to WhatsApp or email, and alerts fire when a threshold is crossed.

Straight answers

Questions we are asked

Zoho Analytics for most companies, Odoo and ERPNext native reporting where the ERP is the only source, and Analytics Plus for IT data. We choose by sources and audience.

Yes. Sources are blended in one model with agreed definitions.

Yes, with Arabic labels and right-to-left layouts.

Yes, scheduled reports and alerts can go to WhatsApp and email through approved providers.

Two to six weeks after definitions are agreed, depending on sources.

Where data is inconsistent we fix the source or the model before building dashboards; a dashboard on bad data is worse than none.
