Building the future factory on an ERP that talks to the shop floor

The future factory Qatar's industrial strategy describes is not a robot showroom. It is a plant where the production plan comes from real demand, machines report their state, quality data is captured at the station, maintenance is predicted from readings, and cost per unit is known at the end of the shift rather than the end of the month. The ERP is the backbone that makes those signals useful; without it, sensors produce dashboards nobody acts on.

We implement Odoo Manufacturing and ERPNext Manufacturing as that backbone: bills of materials and routings, MRP from sales forecast and stock, work orders on tablets at each work centre, quality checks that stop a batch, maintenance triggered by meter readings, and traceability by lot. Machines, PLCs and SCADA systems are integrated through OPC UA, MQTT or their own APIs so counts, downtime and readings flow into work orders automatically.

AI adds the next layer once the data exists: demand forecasting, predictive maintenance from sensor trends, anomaly detection on quality data and agents that answer production questions in Arabic. Hosting inside Qatar keeps plant data where policy requires. The result is a factory that can prove its cost, quality and uptime to customers and to the industrial programmes it applies to.
