Replace, rebuild or wrap

Legacy System Modernisation in Qatar

The ERP nobody can upgrade, the Access database that runs the warehouse, the custom app whose developer left. We assess what to replace, rebuild or wrap, migrate the data properly, and cut over in phases so the business keeps running.

  • Assessment: what the legacy system does, who depends on it, what it costs
  • Replace with Zoho, Odoo or ERPNext; rebuild custom apps; or wrap with APIs
  • Data migration with reconciliation, including years of history
  • Phased cut-over with the old system running in parallel until proven

Why legacy systems are hard to leave

Legacy systems survive because they work, in the narrow sense: the invoices go out, the stock is counted, the payroll runs. They are also unsupported, unpatched, undocumented, unable to do e-invoicing without workarounds, and dependent on one person. Qatar companies we meet run old ERPs whose vendors have left Qatar, custom applications in outdated frameworks, accounting packages that stopped receiving VAT updates, and spreadsheets that became systems.

Modernisation is a decision per system, not a slogan. Some should be replaced with Odoo, ERPNext or Zoho. Some custom applications should be rebuilt on a modern framework, which is custom software development. Some should be kept and wrapped with APIs so newer systems can use them until they can be retired. We assess each, migrate the data with reconciliation, and cut over in phases.

What IT and finance leaders tell us

“Only one person knows how it works”

Key-person risk on a core system.

“The vendor is gone”

No patches, no support, no e-invoicing update.

“We cannot get data out”

Reports built by hand from exports.

“A big-bang replacement scares us”

The last attempt failed.

Why businesses pick us

Partner on four platforms, not one

We are a Zoho, Odoo, ERPNext and ManageEngine partner and also implement Salesforce. If modern platforms is the wrong fit for the problem you described, we will say so before you buy licences rather than after.

Arabic and English in one system

Interface, documents and reports in both, which matters when the team works in Arabic and management reads reports in English.

Configured for Qatari practice

Invoicing workflows configurable around GTA e-invoicing, VAT treatment set at entry, and payroll outputs shaped for WPS and GRSIA.

We stay after go-live

The first month-end close surfaces everything the scoping missed. Most of the real value of an implementation is delivered in those weeks.

A team in Doha, not a ticket queue

Consultants you can meet, in your timezone and your working week, who scoped the project and then configured it.

We will tell you not to buy

If the problem is your data or your process rather than your software, a new licence will not fix it. We say that early.

Organisations we have worked with

A selection of the organisations we have delivered ERP and business software work for, across finance, healthcare, trading, logistics and professional services.

Questions before you book

Replace when a platform covers the function well; rebuild when the application is genuinely unique; wrap when it must stay for now. The assessment says which.

Yes, with reconciliation. Whether to migrate all history or opening balances plus key history is a decision made with finance.

We extract from the database directly or through screens and files, and reconcile.

Yes, and we recommend it for finance and stock.

Three to six months for a core ERP replacement; less for single applications.

Fixed price per system after assessment.
